With beautiful weather year-round across our gorgeous country, it is no wonder that garden weddings are a popular choice for Aussie brides. Add to this the fact that greenery is sought-after (being the Pantone colour of the year), and we thought you’d need some stunning garden wedding locations to check out from our Real Weddings couples.
Adelaide: Mount Lofty House
Lush gardens, beautiful blossoms and a view that will take our breath away. The venue for Renae Mills and Ben Crawford’s wedding was simply stunning.
The couple exchanged vows on November 25, 2016 Mount Lofty House, in South Australia. The venue overlooks Piccadilly Valley in the Adelaide Hills, where they shared their first date, first kiss, and also where Ben proposed.
NSW: Port Stephens
Choosing a garden wedding overlooking the beach gave Jaymie-Lee Janes and Matthew Glanville the best of both worlds when they said ‘I do’ on March 25, 2017.
The location, at Barry Park, overlooking picturesque Fingal Bay, also happened to be the couple’s favourite holiday location!
They shared their day with 100 guests and the wide open spaces meant there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the stunning scenery.
Victoria: Abbotsford Convent
The historical buildings and lush gardens of the Abbotsford Convent made the perfect backdrop for Casey Chellew and Pete Abrehart’s wedding.
The couple celebrated their wedding with 110 guests on March 24, 2017 with a stunning romantic garden setting. A reception catered by Bursaria followed in the Rosina Room.
Tasmania: Hawley House
Caitlyn Andrzeiczak and Brenton Bryan celebrated their wedding at the picturesque Hawley House in Tasmania.
With a stunning ceremony backdrop and plenty of on-site locations for bridal party photos to be taken, guests were able to stay at the one venue with some nibbles and drinks to tide them over while they waited for the reception to kick into high gear.
